Hypnotherapy Hertfordshire

At Balance Hypnosis St Albans we provide Hypnotherapy Hertfordshire for a wide range of issues and conditions. We like to bust the myths about hypnosis to our clients as there are so many misconceptions about hypnotherapy taken from the stage hypnosis that people see on TV. Firstly we like to point out that hypnosis is and never will be sleep even though if a person has their eyes closed they may look as if they are in fact sleeping. In fact hypnosis is a very natural state very like the daydreams we get when our mind wanders.

In fact even though the person in hypnosis often may not feel very much at all during that state their brain waves start to change and move from the Beta state to the Alpha state which shows the increase in relaxation. Despite the increase in relaxation the person in hypnosis is not out of control or being commanded by the therapist. Instead they are being given gentle suggestions and those suggestions help them to make the changes that they desire if that is really what they want. At our hypnotherapy hertfordshire clinic we can never make anyone do something that they don't want to.

Over time the more comfortable a person becomes with hypnosis and the hypnotherapist the deeper they will go. It may feel as if you are drifting deeper like you do when you are sleeping at night but at any time if there was an emergency or you wanted to you could come straight out of it. During hypnosis people can experience feelings such as heavy limbs as their body starts to relax or a feeling of lightness but this is all totally normal.

At our clinic we used hypnosis to help a number of conditions which include:

Anxiety Fears and Phobias Weight Loss Hertfordshire Fertility Lack of Confidence Confidence Hypnobirthing Pain management Stop Smoking
